If the riser pipes in one stairwell need replacing, the tenants there need to know the water will be shut off. How do you reach them all in good time without notifying the rest of the building? With notifications, you write the message once and send it to the relevant units. Afterwards, you can see exactly who has received it.
Notifications were developed at the request of one of our clients and are now available as an add-on for Propbinder.
You can select entire buildings, a single stairwell, or specific units. Tenants in the rest of the building won't be bothered with information that doesn't concern them.
Tenants and contact persons are included automatically because the information is pulled directly from the tenant file. You don't need to maintain lists in another system, and no one receives the same message twice.
If the caretaker or operations manager needs to be informed, you can send the notification to them from the property team at the same time. That way, everyone has the same information when tenants ask.
Notifications are always sent via SMS and can also be sent via email and displayed in the resident app. If a resident has opted out of SMS or email, you can disable that channel for that specific resident, ensuring their preferences are always respected.
You can schedule a notification and edit it right up until it is sent. The recipients are identified at the time of sending, ensuring that a tenant who has moved in since you scheduled it will still receive the message.
A summary shows how many people will receive the notification and who is missing a phone number or email address. This allows you to correct the information before the message goes out.
For every notification, you can see who received it and why a message might not have been delivered. You can follow up with those specific tenants and export the list when you need to document who has been informed.
With a QR code in the stairwell, a cohabitant or relative can sign up for notifications for a specific unit themselves. This way, for example, a daughter can be notified about a water shut-off at her mother's home.
You decide which types of notifications to use and who is authorized to send them. For example, a caretaker can send notifications about window cleaning for their own properties, while elevator service alerts are sent by the operations manager.
